November 20, 1947. Dear Billy,. , I think I told you when you were in with . me that Ford of Cork are getting about 500 of the new Ford tractore from Detroit. It has suddenly etruck me that we might have taken out some tractor patents in Eire which would enable us to oppose the sale of these there. I discussed the matter with Mr. Wileon, only to find that the one patent we did take out in that country was on the steerage cultivator. Do you think there is any point in pursuing the matter further - in other words, could we attempt to take out some patents in Eire before the tractors arrive, or at lesst file a provisional? What I went you to let me know is - have you any definite news from Coventry es to what patente Mr. Ferguson considers Fords in Dearborn are infringing?
