Dear Billy, I have just received a letter from Mr. Ferguson, dictated in his car while on the way from Southampton, to "abbotswood", In this letter he aske that you consider the design of the following - a simple four-speed gear box for a new large tractor. This must be ae easy to change with trailer as our present box is. = Provision should be made for supplying, at extra cost, one especially low gear for combines, transplanters, etc. Mr. Ferguson states that this gear might be adapted to the facing of the gearbox, and if it has to have a little lever of its own thie will be OK. I am sure Mr. Ferguson will let us know at a later date when he wants to see us over there. I will give you a ring early next week if I get any further information. Yours sincerely, W.
