January 16 - 1948. W.d.Sands Esq. "Myrtlefield", Hillsboro’ Old Road, Lisburn, N.Ireland. Dear Mr.Sands, I spoke to you this afternoon on the question of transfer of shares which is being made in your name. In this connection will you please let me have your cheque for £300 made payable to Harry Ferguson Holdings Limited and a separate cheque payable to Harry Ferguson Limited for the sum of £6. to cover the Stamp Duty on the transfer. o Your share certificate will be sent to you just as soon as the transfer has been approved by the Directors of Limited and the certificate made out. With regard to new salary arrangements I confirm what I said to you this afternoon, namely that I should submit the requisite form to the Inland Revenue notifying them that you were a new employee. Tax deductions under P.A.Y.E. will, therefore, be made on an emergency basis until such time as your correct code number has been notified to me by the Imland Revenue. Your E.J.Davies. Secretary.
