March 25 - 1948: W.eJ. Sands Esqe, 54 "Myrtlefielda" Hillsboro’ Old Road, Lisburn, N, Ireland. Dear Sir, I have to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated February 28th, 1948, in which you give notice of your intention to terminate employment with this company on April Ist, 1948. Our Directors will accept your resignation. May I please have your assurance that you ‘are taking the necessary steps to assign to this company your interest in improvements or inventions which you, either by yourself or jointly with others, have made or conceived during your employ- ment with this company, together with all information and data in your possession necessary to give full understanding of such improvements or inventions, and otherwise do everything necessary in accordance with your agreement with this company. In view of your long association with the name, "Ferguson", we naturally all regret that you are leaving us and wish you the best of success in all your future undertakings.
