H. D. Fitzpatrick’s Glasgow Office have sent me for signature by this Company, yourself and Archie Greer, papers authorising a Patent Agent in Karachi to act in connection with Patent No. 576907 dated June 28, 1943 which we all assigned to narry ferguson Inc. on September 27 and =y 1946. Lee Ore « As far as I can see this is a mere formality . and I just want to know if it would suit you to call and sign the papers here, or whether I should send them up With Jack some evening. In Messrs, Fitzpatrick's letter they give as the reason for the signing of these additional papers, the following:- "It might be expedient for you to hold a certified copy of the Agreement under the terms of which Mr. Sands is being requested to sign these papers, This Agreement was drawn up before Pakistan was a separate country, but you will see that India is listed and India at that time covered the territory which is now Pakistan, In fact, the procedure in Pakistan is simply re-validating for its territory the rishts applied for in India. Moreover, although only a single application was originally made, it was found necessary later to divide the subject matter into two.
