Just as I leave for London I thought I would tell you about the following so that you could think a little about it and maybe make some suggestion. This is one of those things that I can write you about. When one comes to a stop in almost any car one has to perform five operations: - 1. Apply foot-brake. 2. Press clutch pedal. 3. Put change speed lever to neutral. 4. Apply hand-brake. 5. Switch off engine. When one comes to start a car one has to perform six operations:- 1. Switch on engine, 2. Press or pull self-starter. 3. Press clutch pedal. 4. Put in low gear, 5. Release hand-brake. 6. Let clutch in.
